KAIROS Blanket Exercise in schools, churches, organizations

The history of this land is still being taught predominantly from a European settler perspective. With the help of the KAIROS Blanket Exercise, Solidarité Milton-Parc, in solidarity with First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples, are offering this powerful educational introduction to Indigenous Peoples history for schools, churches and community organizations around Montréal.

Solidarité Milton-Parc is committed to bring the KAIROS Blanket Exercise to as many schools, churches, community organizations and communities as possible. In order to facilitate this, we act as the first contact for people requesting a Blanket Exercise, and we recruit co-facilitators as well as coordination and logistics for the Exercise.

If you would like to host a Blanket Exercise, we ask that you give us a minimum of 4-6 weeks from the date you would like to book, in order for us to respectfully request Indigenous co-facilitation and Elder participation. Solidarité Milton-Parc requests a financial acknowledgement for the Indigenous co-facilitator(s), in addition to a donation (which can be negotiated), to support SMP’s community Blanket Exercises and weekly mealshare with the Homeless Community in Milton-Parc.
